TLC Hires Bill Clinton’s Attorneys to Get Jon Gosselin

By Ann Hunter on October 16, 2009

How do you link Jon and Kate Gosselin to Bill Clinton and Weapons of Mass Destruction? Read on . . .

TLC has stepped up their game against Jon & Kate Plus 8 patriarch, Jon Gosselin and has crossed the line from rhetoric and media play to lawsuits.

The family network TLC has filed suit in Maryland against the father of eight for breach of contract.

TLC is being represented by Williams and Connolly, the D.C. law firm best known for its defense of President Bill Clinton during his impeachment trial for lying under oath about his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Williams and Connolly also represented Vice President Dick Cheney during the investigation of allegations that his office leaked the identity of CIA operative, Valerie Plame in retaliation for her husband’s debunking of allegations that an African nation sold weapons of mass destruction to Saddam Hussein.

The prestigious firm prides itself in accepting “clients in mortal danger” but the clients it chooses to highlight reads like a “who’s who” of Washington bad guys. From Hillary Clinton to Karl Rove, TLC’s lawfirm (and by proxy Kate Gosselin’s), know how to get people out of hot water.

The question lingers, is TLC pulling out the WMD-sized D.C. firm because they are in the wrong or because they are simply trying to crush Jon Gosselin and his fidgety New York attorney?

Go figure. Kate fits right in with Hillary and Bill Clinton, Karl Rove and Dick Cheney. Evil personified.

Hopefully, this firm will give Jon just a smidgen of what he deserves.

This is all very sad. I just wish the Gosselin's could walk away and fix their family.

TLC is wrong to sue Jon. They should just let him out of his contract and let him go his own way. Instead, they fired him from the show, but would not let him pursue other employment opportunities. They can't have it both ways.

TLC has made hundreds of millions dollars off of the Gosselins, and now TLC thinks Jon owes them money? That's crazy.

I'll agree with Bubbles on this. TLC seems to just be fanning the flames. Jon's had the right to shut down production as Kate admitted. Their issues is that now that they've dropped him from the show and he's getting other work and bad mouthing him they all of the sudden want to sue.

If my boss fired me then I think I'd feel pretty good going to get other work and saying whatever the heck I want about my former company.

Jon and his lawyer Mark J Heller have been on national TV dissing TLC and violating Jon's exclusivity contract with TLC.
*
TLC has been trying to work with Jon. TLC was willing to keep paying Jon while giving him a much lesser role. Jon could have done next to nothing and still been paid an excellent salary.
*
Jon wanted to be paid by TLC AND pursue other lucrative ventures.
*
Jon and Heller are both idiots. Heller will ditch Jon when the money dries up. Which will be very soon as Jon has eight days to pay back $180,000 he took out of a joint account without permission.
