Hybrids Bad.

By Andrew Davis on November 15, 2009

I've long been convinced the Green Lobby is out to destroy modern society in its ever-insatiable desire to find the "greenest" technology. Take for instance the latest "green" warning against electric cars.

Yes, electric cars. You know, the ones that are supposed to replace the evil internal combustion cars.

The Environmental Transport Association says that some electric cars would be recharged by electricity derived by burning coal and oil, thereby negating any positive environmental benefits from driving them. So, driving an electric car could actually HURT the environment.

You ever date a girl that complained about everything? Yeah, the environmental lobby is no different.

The U.K.'s Daily Mail reports that "the report warned that European officials have assumed that electric cars are 'zero-emission', and failed to take into account the electricity they use." In essence, 'We can't make up our minds about what we think is better for the environment.'

It reminds me of E.L.F. (Environmental Liberation Front), who loves to release toxins into the environment by torching things like Hummers and ski resorts.

I still think we would be better off all driving diesel engines.

Also, for the record, the name of the author of this author and the name of the ETA director is purely a coincidence.

Hybrids are bad? Damn! I guess will eventually have to grind up environmentalists and use them for fuel. Soylent Green anyone?
